The Food Technology Faculty trains about 1800 students a two-degree system of studies, as full time or extramural programmes in the fields of:

  • Food Technology (specialisations: Food Technology, Human Nutrition, Quality and Safety of Food)
  • Commodity Science (specialisation: Food Commodity Science).

The offer comprises also the following postgraduate programmes (for Master Diploma holders):

  • Human Nutrition with Elements of Home Economics
  • Quality Management in Food Industry
  • The European Union Standards in Food Economy in Poland
  • Food Safety in the Food Chain
  • Food Quality and Its Assurance Systems
  • Food Safety in the Food Chain

Modern equipment of laboratories, lecture rooms and other facilities together with the faculty library and reading room create the environment favourable for research and studies. Malopolska Center of Monitoring and Certification of Food, a unit equipped with the latest analytical equipment and an inherent part of the Food Technology Faculty, conducts analyses on food products and all kinds of agricultural raw materials providing services for farmers, food producers and food industries from the Malopolska region.
